Unique Muscadets, a Reflection of Our Terroirs
Domaine Luneau-Papin, born from the union of two winemaking lineages, embodies a vision of Muscadet based on diversity and precision. We have always believed that there is not just one Muscadet, but many Muscadet Sevre et Maine wines, each revealing a specific place, a story, and a unique energy.
Each cuvée is the expression of a “garden”: a unique plot, a vintage, and a distinct personality. Our flagship grape, Melon de Bourgogne wine, finds multiple expressions here depending on the soils, farming practices, and aging time. This quest for identity requires excellence at every stage of our work.

Committed, Living, and Demanding Viticulture
Our transition to organic farming began in 2008, followed by a full biodynamic wine farming approach in 2014, inspired by a keen observation of the living world. We have been Demeter and Biodyvin certified since 2019.
The 27 hectares of vines cultivated at the domain reflect a deep commitment to our team and our territory. Soil work is traditional (plowing, cover crops, natural preparations), pruning is short (Guyot simple), and harvests are done manually with rigorous sorting in the vineyard. This constant care helps reveal the authentic character of Melon de Bourgogne and Folle Blanche wine, the identity grapes of our appellation.
Gentle and Natural Vinification
Grapes are whole-pressed in pneumatic presses, and fermentation is spontaneous, led by indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place mainly in underground concrete tanks lined with glass tiles.
Depending on the vintage, these methods are complemented by the use of barrels, Italian terracotta amphorae, Austrian wood foudres, or French porcelain jars. The wines are aged on their fine lees without racking until bottling—a technique essential to the complexity and structure of Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur lie. The aging duration varies to ensure a constant search for balance.
